'Baby Shower Memories' - PL Mini Album

7:00 AM

With Pinterest playing such a big part these days in any form of planning, I don't think there is anything that doesn't have the DIY feel to it anymore. Now, we all love that feel and the wonderful ideas that it provides us, so why not use it to plan a baby shower.  This is exactly what we did back in November last year.

We knew that the expected bundle of joy was a baby girl, so colours were an easy choice, but it was all of those little touches that we needed to work on. This is where being a crafty person pays off!

Rather than use a traditional guest book type idea, we used a selection of Project Life cards, an iPhone for a camera and the SP-1 Instax share printer (so that if more than one person wanted a copy of the photo they could). The idea was to write a message on a PL card with advice for the mum to be.

Some people took photos only, others wrote messages only, and a few did both. It was then up to me to work out how to pull it all together in a little book. With a bit of gold, some chipboard and lots of sequins!
Below is a snapshot of the end result:

I have left a couple of places for the mum to be to write notes or stories about the day. They could even be used to write the gift list into.

I just had to add in this last photo of the close up of the gold embossed chipboard piece of the little girl on the bench. It is just the cutest!!

I hope this has inspired you to play around with mini albums. It did take a bit of time to wrap my head around how this was going to work but it was a lot of fun!
