A Rebirth of Stamping

8:30 PM

Yes, here is a major admission of lack of knowledge... I have been scraping now for over 10 years on and off. And like many people, over that time I have often wondered how people got their stamps so clear on their pages. I always thought that maybe it was cheap stamps, or even cheap inks that was hindering how my stamps were working. This ended in all of my stamps being packed away and never seeing the light of day.

You may have heard people around the Scrapbooking industry refer to a product called Staz-On? I had but never took the 'no question is a stupid question' approach.... Until recently. I finally asked the question and am so very glad I did. I purchased a pad of black Staz-On and have never looked back. My stamps now live on my scrap desk and I don't think I have finished a page without using! This product is brilliant.

This long story leads me to this page. The very first one I completed after discovering Syaz-On.

My Love in Brooklyn
Using 6x6 Messy Spoldges AltaMATZ (ALTA129) and Chipboard Corner Pack (WOW1626)

I have stamped around the photo area with a grunge stamp and put it with a bit of Tim Holtz Distress Ink and and AltaMATZ. And how cool is the bright coloured washi tape? I am in love with it! On a side note, how awesome is this wall we found in Brooklyn, NY!!

I have coloured the WOW chipboard in with a navy blue sharpie marker to blend it with the page. And to add to the page layout I have journaled directly onto the page.

Those that know me know how in love with these {A Flair for Buttons} flair buttons. I use them on so many layouts. And how cute are those little raised dots that look like brads... Brad tops from Stampin Up. These are sticky backed and ready to go and work a treat!!

Thanks for calling past for a bit of a giggle and checking out one of my favourite pages ever.
