WOW October New Release - 'All About Me & a Pub'
7:30 PM
Just stopping in for another quick share this week with the Words or Whatever new release products for October. I hope you have all been over to the WOW blog and checked out the gorgeous layouts by the DT. The inspiration over there is endless!!
This is another layout from the Savvy Delights Retreat. I had a bit of fun with this one and have had many a comment about the red background! Yes, it is another holiday photo from the USA by how could I not... My gorgeous husbands name is Austin and who would have through that deep in the middle of the Texas Panhandle we would find this?! The only downside was that it was closed. Oh and secretly, it was a total fluke that he was wearing a red t-shirt that day!!
All About Me & a Pub
Using new release chipboard 'All About Me' title (WOW1960) and light wood veneer Stars (WV033)
I love this chipboard title. When I received it in my DT pack I was wondering what to do with it as I really don't scrap me very often. Its funny how ideas come to us! This piece was sitting on my table and I happened to pull out this photo.... perfect match if you ask me!
I have coated the chipboard in the light yellow nail polish again and let it dry. This colour just seems to go so well with everything.
I have done the same with the light wood veneer stars just to tie the yellow through. And yes, that is another {A Flair for Buttons} button. I'm telling you I am totally in love with these!
Now for the background technique.... Simple really: grab a tube of red paint, squeeze gently as you rub the tip of it tub across the page. I have misted a little over it to again tie in the yellow and added a little bit of 'brickwall' type stamping over the top of it. I have then layered some washi tape and hessian (burlap) under the photo which was then popped off the page with mounting foam. This allowed for the thickness of the hessian.
Thanks for stopping by to check out what has been going on in my world of late. I hope to piece together a bit of a review of my new Canon Selphy CP900 for next week, as I have been getting a lot of questions. If you have any you would like me to answer, please comment below and I will do my best.
