After a wet Saturday a couple of weeks ago, I started to play around with some the the gorgeous ideas that I have been pinning on Pinterest.

Now that I am on two Design Teams and there are commitments and deadlines I needed a way to visually track them every time I sat down at my scrap desk. I use a diary on a daily basis, during the week, but that seems to be mostly for work stuff. Where do I track my scrappy stuff?

Now I have a place - A DIY white board (and am actually using it)!!

This whole project cost less than $25 with the most expensive part being the frame. The frame can be any size depending on the space you have available. In my case it was an 8x12. I have removed the glass and placed a sheet of lined scrap paper underneath. Usually I would have written the "To Do List" part directly onto the paper under the glass, but as I have used MDF letters and glued them directly onto the glass. This step was not before colouring them, decorating them or altering them in some way to suit what you need. I have misted them, painted them, covered them with paper, drawn on them and then put dimensional magic over the top.

Using some of the February new release WOW I have added some numbers onto the glass. I have misted these then added dimensional magic.


To finish the frame off, I have place the bright coloured butterfly ($2 from the junk shop) in the bottom corner. It is covering a picture hook that I can hand a ring off and then hang the whiteboard marker off that. This way it is easy to find when I need it.


There you have it. A DIY white board to keep track of my scrappy projects and deadlines.

And just to prove that it is hung and working :-)
