If you are looking for an awesome scrappy challenge to do this month (and while we have this really wet and slightly wild weekend on the East Coast of Australia) why not give the Kraft+ June one a go! Like all Kraft+ challenges, they can get you thinking a little outside the box, which in the creative world is what we need from time to time to push us past everything being the same old. This month is no different.
Have you ever thought to use jigsaw pieces on your page? Well this is the ask this month. And Scrapbooking Delights are a sponsor. There is some super amazing inspiration over on the Kraft+ blog for this challenge. Something for everyone to draw on and some really different ways to incorporate jigsaw puzzle pieces into the project.
Here is my layout for this challenge using mostly Shimelle's Starshine Collection.
You and Me
And here is a close up of the jigsaw pieces. I turned them over to the back, gave them a (uneven) coat of Gesso, then misted with Tim Holtz mists in 2 key colours. From there, I randomly layered them into the layout.
There are lots of layered elements put into this cluster including washi tape and enamel dots.
To finish off the layout I have splattered a little bit more of the Tim Holtz mist in the blue and who could resist adding that extra touch of Heidi Swapp gold mist!
I'm pretty happy with the end result on this one and love that it pushed me to use a more unusual element as an embellishment. Why not give it a go yourself.
